Build the perfect mech in this strategy roguelike
Jupiter Moons: Mecha is a demo strategy game that lets you build your own mech and fight your way across the galaxy. You get to build your mechs and strategize your fights with other mechs through a deckbuilding game mechanic. Every victory allows you to unlock better equipment, parts, and weapons, which then makes for stronger robots in this virtually limitless roguelike.
If you’re a fan of mechs, you can also try HARDCORE MECHA for real-time, 2D action or MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries for a more immersive shooter experience. Compared to these two, Jupiter Moons: Mecha is more casual, with no compelling story to follow.
Thousands of mech and technologies
While it is not a story-driven game, Jupiter Moons: Mecha has a premise and lore that binds the elements together. In this game, you set out to discover the origins of an alien artificial intelligence that rapidly corrupts the machines. Still, you have the freedom to intently pursue this vague objective or focus on becoming the richest and the strongest, or both.
Its graphics offer a wide variety of aesthetics mostly built on the 2D space. Paired with smooth animation, the game lets you enjoy even the smallest activities such as assigning your weapons. Its grid-based loadout system adds the strategic element as you have to budget your space for every part of your mech. In terms of fighting, it has a first-person look that makes you feel like piloting a mech.
Despite being a roguelike game, you can unlock new parts with every victory you achieve. This creates a sense of continuity and gives you something to look out for and come back for, giving virtually unlimited replayability for this game. Of course, like most roguelikes, you lose most of your progress when you die. Also, its difficulty is something casual players should look out for.
Be the mech pilot of your dreams
Jupiter Moons: Mecha is a great game for casual and serious players alike. It has a strategy mechanic that allows for a lot of gameplay possibilities, requiring you to use the weapons that will “fit” with your robot. Also, you’ll have to choose your battles wisely depending on your loadout. These elements both make the game difficult yet addictive. Mecha gaming fans, this is a reason to rejoice.
