Jungle Fever is a free platform game set in a cartoon jungle world. Make your way through a landscape of spears, tribal masks, tropical lagoons, and various dangerous wildlife. In search of coins and other goodies, you can even ride dinosaurs!

Like Super Mario Bros 3: Mario Forever and Mari0, Jungle Fever is heavily influenced by Nintendo's Super Mario games. That said, it also introduces some tweaks to the formula of that series, and it stars a completely different main character.

Fight with knives and spears

In Jungle Fever, you control a masked warrior who must make his way through an African jungle filled with hostile wildlife. The controls are handled through on-screen buttons designed to emulate a joypad. You have two weapons at your disposal: a short-range knife and a limited number of spears that can be thrown at distant foes.

Heavily influenced by Mario

Anyone who has played the Super Mario games will recognize many of the same gameplay elements. The basic enemies are thinly veiled copies of Mario's foes. For example, there are tortoises that can be flipped on their shells and kicked into other enemies. The mystery blocks that you can bump from below to earn coins and weapons are also Mario-esque.

Dinosaurs, cannons, and more

Jungle Fever includes a range of interactive elements that add some variety. You can use a grappling hook to swing on certain objects and load yourself into cannons to reach new areas. There are also dinosaurs that you can ride, which come in both land-based and flying variations.

Simple platforming fun

The level designs in Jungle Fever are basic, and the mechanics are never as inventive or as varied as the Mario games it tries to imitate. Still, this is a colorful free platformer that can entertain all ages.
