Jogo Ortográfico is an educational game designed to help students with spelling difficulties and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the early years of elementary school. Developed as part of a Master's thesis program called ProfLetras, this app aims to intervene in spelling deviations and provide support for students with special needs.

The game consists of three stages: Jogo 1, Jogo 2, and Jogo 3. In the first stage (Jogo 1), children are presented with a drawing and need to choose the correct spelling for the word it represents. If they make a mistake, the rule or established form for that word's spelling is shown. The second stage (Jogo 2) emphasizes the difference between speech and writing, as children listen to audio recordings with different pronunciations of the same word and have to select the correct written form. Finally, in the third stage (Jogo 3), participants listen to words, sentences, and phrases and must write them according to the rules of spelling. They can then compare their writing with the correct spelling.

Jogo Ortográfico aims to contribute to the literacy of students with special educational needs, as well as facilitate the learning of spelling for other children in the early stages of literacy. It encourages a reflection on language and promotes an understanding of the importance of adapting language to different communicative contexts.

Developed by Israel Brito Araujo, with the collaboration of Juliana Bertucci Barbosa and Luzia Rosa de Souza for design, Jogo Ortográfico is currently in development and testing, offering a valuable tool for spelling improvement in an engaging and interactive format.
