JNVs are a group of schools run by the government. Navodaya is the best known and most popular among them. Navodaya is a system wherein every child is given an opportunity to learn. It is a residential school system wherein the children attend school in the hostels and spend time in the classroom, playground, and playrooms. The school curriculum consists of an academic curriculum as well as a vocational curriculum. It also includes a component that is related to the profession that the child wants to pursue.

JNVs also have a residential program called Navodaya Gyan. This is a system wherein the children who are not attending school are also given an opportunity to learn.

JNVs also have a program called JNV Pathway. This is a program that provides support to the children in the JNV schools to enable them to get a good education. This program also includes a vocational curriculum.

In addition to these programs, there is also a special program called Navodaya Tele-highlighter. This is a program that helps the children to learn by highlighting their mistakes and learning from them.
