The Jimmy Nelson app, developed by Fonk, offers a unique and immersive experience for users to delve into the captivating world of Indigenous cultures. This Webby Award winning app allows you to scan every Jimmy Nelson photograph within all Jimmy Nelson books, exhibitions, Cult-ED, media, and the internet. By scanning an image, you can bring the picture to life and step into the world behind it.

With the app, you can join Jimmy Nelson himself as he guides you through breathtaking behind-the-scenes footage, providing a deeper understanding of the beauty and diversity of day-to-day life from all over the world. The app showcases stunning video material that highlights the commonality we share as humans, despite our differences in appearance, language, and lifestyle. It reminds us that we all crave a sense of belonging and love.

One of the standout features of the app is the Virtual Reality gallery in the book "Homage to Humanity." By scanning one third of a chapter, you gain access to the Virtual Gallery where you can enjoy extraordinary 360-degree films. The book provides VR goggles, but you can also watch the films without them.

Since 2010, Jimmy Nelson has been traveling the world to photograph Indigenous cultures and communities. Through his lens, he captures the essence of what it truly means to be human. The app allows you to join Jimmy on his journey and meet some of the most iconic Indigenous cultures on the planet.

Please note that the app is not compatible with iPhones 6 or lower due to its demanding technology. It is recommended to check the list of compatible devices before downloading.
