J-SHIS is an official Android application that displays the National Seismic Hazard Maps on Google Maps. The National Seismic Hazard Maps predict the strong shaking expected from earthquakes that may occur in Japan in the future and represent the forecast results on the map. The app provides a comprehensive and detailed overview of the seismic activity in Japan.

The app allows users to view the latest National Seismic Hazard Maps, including the probability of earthquakes with a seismic intensity of 6 or higher over a period of 30 years. Users can also view various maps, such as the surface and deep ground maps, and the expected earthquake maps. Additionally, the app allows users to view major active fault zones and subduction zones on the map and tap on them to view the earthquake activity model. The app also provides information on the probability of experiencing seismic intensity of 6 or higher over a period of 30 years and the surface amplification rate at specific locations.
