IPP/CUPS printing is designed for G Suite and is available for G Suite users on all major mobile devices. Administered through the G Suite Console, it's the best and easiest way to print on a local network for your business.

As an alternative to cloud printing, we created a new extension that will help you print easily to any printer that has a PCL, PS, or PostScript driver installed on it. This helps to save on your data costs. This means that you can also print to a local printer even if it's not connected to your Internet connection.

IPP/CUPS printing requires some setup. If you have not already configured your printers for your organization, please use our setup instructions to get started. This is a local network extension and it requires that the Chrome browser you are using has the IPP extension installed. You can also use the Chrome print dialogue to install this extension. It is important that you choose the IPP/CUPS print driver and not the Cloud print driver.

To set up IPP/CUPS printing, we created a local configuration file that contains the information you need to configure the extension.

Download the extension and log in to your G Suite account. We also created a sample local configuration file that you can download to make sure that the connection is configured correctly.
