It addresses the growing concern of repetitive and spammy comments that detract from user experience. Leveraging AI embeddings, the extension analyzes the semantic meaning of comments, effectively identifying and removing those that are too similar or deemed fake. Users can enjoy a more engaging comment section reminiscent of a decade ago, enhancing their overall viewing experience.

The extension features customizable settings, allowing users to adjust the potency of filtering as well as enabling a sentiment analysis option to remove negative comments, which is off by default. Currently focused on YouTube, Internet Resurrector plans to expand its functionality to other platforms like Twitter and Facebook, aiming to address the broader issue of online comment quality. Importantly, user privacy is maintained as no extraneous data is logged or tracked.
