inskam is a free utility app for mobile developed by app-Tools. It is designed to work with endoscopes, microscopes, snake cameras, and other external inspection devices. The app is fairly straightforward to use, allowing users to connect compatible cameras and instantly view a live feed directly on their mobile device. 

inskam can be useful for checking ceiling spaces, inspecting air conditioner units, looking inside sink pipes, or examining other hard-to-reach areas. It serves as a handy companion for both USB and WiFi inspection cameras. However, compatibility can be a bit finicky. 

Shoot and watch videos 

Though it requires a Wi-Fi connection, inskam is a must-have tool for any occupation, from medical practitioners to science teachers. The app can assist with inspections, demonstrations, and close-up viewing tasks in both professional and personal settings. Besides video recording, you can view images and footage as well as adjust the resolution for clearer viewing. Other helpful features include convenient rotate and zoom functions. 

There are disadvantages to using this tool, though. For example, video recordings taken using the app are unplayable on third-party media players, which can make file sharing and playback inconvenient outside the app. The frequent crashing and connectivity issues also make it even more frustrating to use. The picture quality is mediocre, as well, often lacking sharpness and detail in low-light or tight spaces.  

Probably the most frustrating part is that even with a compatible device, issues can still appear, such as prompts to update or requests to switch to a lower software version just to get it working again. This can be quite irritating. Especially after app updates, some users report that the app used to work without issues, but after updating, it suddenly becomes unusable or unreliable.
