INSIGHT KIDNEY is an educational augmented reality (AR) application developed by ANIMA RES GmbH. It is designed to provide users with a comprehensive understanding of various kidney diseases, including CKD, aHUS, IgAN, C3G, and LN.

Using the ARKit technology, INSIGHT KIDNEY allows users to scan their physical environment and place a three-dimensional kidney model. The virtual assistant, ANI, guides users through the different states of the kidney, from macroscopic to microscopic anatomy. The application visualizes both anatomically correct representations of the kidney and pathological changes associated with these rare kidney diseases.

With its immersive and detailed visualizations, INSIGHT KIDNEY helps fill the knowledge gap for patients and provides tangible information about these conditions. It has been nominated for the 'German Medical Award' and 'German Design Award' in 2023, showcasing its excellence in the field of medical education.
