Informable is an educational app developed by The News Literacy Project Inc. It is designed to help users enhance their news literacy skills by testing their ability to differentiate between fact and fiction. With three levels of difficulty and four modes of information, Informable offers a comprehensive learning experience.

The app focuses on four key skills: distinguishing news articles from opinion pieces, identifying advertisements, differentiating between false evidence and sound evidence, and recognizing fact-based statements versus opinion-based statements. By practicing these skills, users can develop a more critical mindset when consuming news.

Informable features four brain-training style modes: "Checkable or Not?", "Evidence or Not", "Ad or Not", and "News or Opinion". Each mode has three levels, and players must answer at least seven questions correctly to progress to the next level. Points are awarded for accuracy and speed, and results are posted on a leaderboard.

Once players successfully complete all levels of all four modes, they unlock the "mix-up mode", which presents examples from all four modes in random order, simulating real-life information encounters. The News Literacy Project Inc. plans to add new levels to the mix-up mode periodically.
