Indian Rummy, a variation of Rummy, is a card game played between 2 to 5 players with 13 cards. The objective of the game is to form groups of sequences and trials/sets to meet the game requirements. This 13 card variation of Rummy is particularly popular among Indian players.

The game starts with 13 cards being distributed to each player. The main goal is to create a pure sequence of cards (e.g., JQK) of the same suit or a set of cards (e.g., AAA) with equal value. Players take turns to draw cards from the deck or pick up the opponents' discarded cards. To declare a game, a player must have a pure sequence (First Life), a pure or impure sequence (Second Life), and a set of four cards. Joker cards can be used to form an impure sequence. After declaring the game, the sum of the card numbers is counted, and players are ranked accordingly.
