Users no longer need to manually record readings on a printed list; instead, they can conveniently scan the counter reading using the app and their smartphone's camera. The app captures both the barcode on the meter, which encodes the meter number, as well as the meter reading(s) for multi-rate meters.

Furthermore, this app syncs the data to a backend system accessible by both RheinEnergie and customers in the real estate industry via a web frontend. This allows for easy retrieval and transfer of data to the respective systems for further processing.
