Ice Report is a free iPhone app developed by Split Rock Software LLC. It falls under the lifestyle category with a subcategory of weather. This app allows users to instantly report lake ice conditions at their current GPS location to other fishermen.

Ice Report is designed to make it easier for users to distribute information about lake ice thicknesses during the ice fishing season in Northern climates. Instead of scouring the internet for forums or groups to get a report on ice for fishing, users can rely on Ice Report to provide real-time information. Additionally, avid fishermen and resorts can contribute to the community by reporting ice conditions for everyone to see.

New reports are displayed in a dark color, while reports older than 3 days are marked with a light color. By default, Ice Report shows reports made within the last 7 days. Users can simply login and check out the map to view the ice conditions in their area. It's important to note that the Display Name chosen by users will be visible to other anglers.

When out fishing, users can easily submit a report by pressing the "+" sign and selecting the measured ice thickness at their location. The app utilizes the user's current GPS location for accurate reporting. Premium users have the option to place icons without GPS.

If a report is mistakenly placed, users can select the report and press the Delete button to remove it. The calendar icon allows users to view reports submitted within a specific date range.

It's important to note that the lake ice data is submitted by users, and there is no guarantee of accuracy. Ice Report encourages everyone to prioritize safety on frozen lakes and advises users to check with their local Department of Natural Resources for safety information.
