I Am Setsuna is a tribute to classic Japanese Role-Playing Games (JRPGs) that combines the latest technology to create a memorable story and player experience. Developed by Square Enix for Nintendo Switch, it is an adventure game set in a land where a sacrifice is offered to a fiend on the island every decade to maintain peace. However, the fiend grows violent before the next sacrifice is due, and Setsuna, a young woman with enchanting powers, is chosen to be the next sacrifice. She must leave the island with her safeguards and travel to the farthest land, where the ceremony of sacrifice will be held.

The game features a new battle system that is inspired by the timeless JRPG classic, Chrono Trigger. The story of Setsuna is emotionally impactful and memorable, portraying heartrending sorrow. The character designs are beautiful, and the varied in-game locales evoke nostalgia for classic RPGs.
