Hylics 2 is a role-playing game developed and published by Mason Lindroth. It is a sequel to the 2015 title, Hylics. The second installment follows the same classical turn-based combat mechanics, as well as claymotion-like, multicolored visuals like its predecessor.

In Hylics 2, you play as Wayne, a crescent-headed hero tasked with foiling the plans of the evil tyrant Gibby’s resurrection. Wayne assembles a crew for this valiant journey across a beautiful 3D clay-like world, where he can also consult its inhabitants for hints to aid him in his quest.

While the game encourages exploration, it also means that players are going to have to figure out most things by themselves without any clear guidance or handholding. This can discourage a lot of folk who prefer a more linear progression in the story, rather than discovering paths by themselves.

A different take to the RPG genre
