Watermelon game, but with the Periodic Table of Elements

Hydrogen Game is a free-to-play puzzle game where you combine elements to create the next one in the periodic table. This is a match game, with similarities to the popular Watermelon Game. Drop elements around a core, with a 360-degree gameplay. However, it also gets increasingly difficult with more elements you have on the screen.

Its chemistry-inspired gameplay, however simple, makes Hydrogen Game an enjoyable lesson for players of all ages. Even its simplified interface doesn’t detract from the experience. You can also check out Roofcats Band - Suika Style or SUSHI Shot for more merge games.

Merge elements and fill the table

At its core, Hydrogen Game is a simplified interactive chemistry lesson. Elements in the Periodic Table are arranged based on their increasing atomic numbers, which in turn, is based on the number of protons in their respective nuclei. In the game, combining two Hydrogen atoms will form Helium, and so on. The challenge is to unlock the 118th element, Oganesson.

The gameplay is also more challenging. While the usual Suika games see you drop items on a box, this game lets you drop elements anywhere in a 360-degree direction with the elements pulled toward the center. Aside from this directional spread, the game also gets difficult with more elements starting to fill the space. Take note that heavier elements also appear larger in this game.

There are four difficulty levels and the game is considered cleared when you have unlocked element 118 on all of them. You can also experiment across its three game modes. One of these modes is the Tribe Mode, which takes elements’ types and family relationships into consideration. Aside from its very basic interface design, the game runs well and with no major bugs.

Enjoyable and educational

Hydrogen Game offers an engaging and educational experience, blending chemistry principles with interactive gameplay. By merging elements and navigating through the Periodic Table, players aim to unlock Oganesson while overcoming increasing challenges. The innovative gameplay mechanics, including 360-degree element placement and size variations based on atomic weight, add depth to the experience. With multiple difficulty levels and game modes, expect both entertainment and learning opportunities.
