The game of Hunters and Gatherers: The Life of an Ancient Man is a strategy card game in which the player takes the role of the leader of a tribe.

The gameplay is based on the ancient period of time. It is divided into 3 main parts: the journey, the settlement, and the exploration of the wilderness.

The player begins with a small tribe. At the start of the game, the leader has to choose a strategy to expand the tribe's territory: he can choose to build a settlement, explore the wilderness, or fight with other tribes.

After selecting the strategy, the player receives all the necessary information and is able to place cards on the game field.

Each turn consists of two phases: in the first phase, the player must place a card on the game field, and in the second phase, the card is drawn and the player receives the corresponding reward.
