HNQIS is a tool that can help health care networks to improve the quality of their services. It is designed for use by healthcare quality assurance (QA) officers in order to monitor the quality of health care services. The application is based on the idea that the more efficiently healthcare services are monitored, the more effectively they can be improved.

The application consists of 4 modules. Each module is designed to help the QA officer perform a specific task.

The first module is the plan module. It allows the QA officer to enter the details of their visit, select the date and time, select the target healthcare network, and select the type of visit.
