Hiragana Memory Hint English is an Android application developed by The Japan Foundation. It is an educational app that helps complete beginners in Japanese and anyone interested in Japanese letters to learn the Hiragana characters. The app features mnemonic pictures, sound, and animation to help users remember the Hiragana characters. It also includes quizzes to check the understanding of the Hiragana learned, simple explanations about the Japanese writing system, and a Hiragana table that allows users to tap each Hiragana to hear how it's pronounced.

The app has been tested on various Android devices, including Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia Z Ultra, HTC J ONE, Lenovo A916, Asus ZenPhone 2, Huawei Ascend G620S, LG Nexus5, Asus Nexus7 2012, and Sony Xepria Z3 SOL26. The Japan Foundation has updated the app to V1.0.3, which made some corrections to the wording.
