Heljarchen Estate Upgraded is a mod that overhauls the surroundings of Heljarchen Hall, transforming it into a fortified noble estate. Located near the center of Skyrim, the hall gains both beauty and security, making it a safe and inviting home for families and adventurers alike.

Security and aesthetic enhancements

The original Heljarchen Hall was exposed to danger, with predators roaming the area and a giants’ camp uncomfortably close. This mod introduces defensive walls and a fully upgraded courtyard to protect your family and estate. A total of 25 new weapon racks is added around the property, giving you both display and storage for your arsenal. Environmental improvements help create a cleaner, more polished atmosphere.

Estate features and additions

Among the most striking additions is the eastern platform, equipped with a cooking stand, oven, churn, and more. A stone stairway leads up to a panoramic pool, while the opposite side opens into a gazebo offering breathtaking views of Whiterun, Dawnstar, and the distant Sea of Ghosts.

The blacksmithing shack near the house has been expanded into a fully equipped laboratory, complete with forge, tanning racks, and 10 weapon racks. For alchemists, a garden filled with plants and insects awaits, alongside an alchemy table, satchel, and even an apiary for honey production.

Daily life is enriched through immersive details like a vegetable garden to supply food, a farmer’s shack stocked with provisions, and a coachman’s shack with noble furnishings to support the sense of a working estate.

Keys and immersion

To heighten immersion, the main gate requires a key to open. Keys can be found outside the gate, in the coachman’s shack, and three more inside the blacksmithing shack. This system reinforces the idea of Heljarchen Hall as a true private estate with controlled access.

Installation and compatibility

To install, make sure you have purchased the Heljarchen plot and built the house. Stay away from the exterior before installing or uninstalling and always back up your saves. Installation is simple: drop the .ESP file into Skyrim’s data folder or manage it through your preferred mod manager. Uninstallation follows the same process in reverse.

This mod requires Skyrim with the latest official patch and the Hearthfire DLC. It is incompatible with other mods that alter the exterior of Heljarchen Hall. For best results, it is recommended to use the Mod Organizer to easily activate or deactivate the mod depending on the character you’re playing.
