Setting up Heart Rate Complication is quick and easy. Simply set a custom complication slot on your watch face and choose the heart rate complication. Then, open the app and enable the necessary permissions to access body sensors. Once everything is set up, you can initiate a heart rate measurement either within the app or through your heart rate tracking app.

The complication updates data instantly when the screen is on or when a measurement is provided by the Health Services API. If a measurement is taken while the screen is off, the complication has a 5-minute refresh interval and will update as soon as the screen turns on.

With Heart Rate Complication, you can customize your watch face with a heart rate complication in various formats, including short text, long text, and ranged value. The app also allows you to test the health services measurement and set the app to open when the complication is tapped.

Please note that after restarting your watch, it is recommended to relaunch the app UI to ensure the complication pulls data correctly.
