Hearoes is an interactive auditory training platform designed for individuals with cochlear implants, hearing aids, and hearing loss. It aims to familiarize users with different environmental sounds and vocabulary to improve auditory feedback and enhance understanding of progress.

Developed in collaboration with audiologists and speech pathologists, Hearoes combines proven assessments used in rehabilitation sessions with gamified activities and interactions. This creates an engaging and user-centric experience for recipients, making ongoing training less of a chore.

The program features dynamic pathways covering five key modules and over 30 fun activities focused on learning specific aspects of the hearing journey. These modules include environmental sounds, introduction to words, singleton vowels, common consonant confusions, and understanding sentences.

In the environmental sounds module, users can immerse themselves in different environments and hear the sounds associated with each theme. The introduction to words module features Ling's Sounds, high/low pitches, and a wide range of syllables. The singleton vowels module offers activities and difficulties centered around vowel sounds, while the common consonant confusions module helps users become familiar with common consonant sounds in various positions. Lastly, the understanding sentences module presents progressive narratives in common day scenes, ranging from video clips with visual cues like lip-reading to audio with background noise.

Hearoes also includes a built-in feedback option, allowing users to provide their thoughts and suggestions for further improvement. By continuously listening to users' feedback, the developers aim to create a great product that helps individuals with hearing loss feel comfortable in different environments.
