To use Head Shadow, users require wired or Bluetooth earbuds such as the EarPods that come with new iPhones or AirPods and AirPods Pro. The app is particularly useful for individuals with single-sided deafness, allowing them to customize sound amplification by selecting the active microphone on their AirPods.

Head Shadow offers four hearing programs that users can choose from based on their current hearing condition. The app also features a 10 Band Equalizer for further sound refinement, ensuring an optimal listening experience.
