HCTG+ by HCTG (Hordes Community Tool Group) is a Chrome extension that enhances Hordes.io play for committed desktop users. The extension injects in-game overlays and data tools to surface market history, player metrics, inventory views, chat filters, and real-time alerts while you play. It replaces manual spreadsheet lookups with on-screen information. Dedicated Hordes.io players seeking tighter control over trading and progression benefit most from this tool.

How does the extension operate inside Chromium-based desktop browsers?

The extension runs within Google Chrome and other Chromium-based desktop browsers, so it integrates into the same process that displays Hordes.io. It is designed for desktop use and is not compatible with standard mobile browser versions, which means players must use a Chromium browser on a PC to access its overlays and notifications. The extension adds active on-page elements while the game session is open.

What should players know about trust, updates, and safety?

The developer is a community group and the add-on is a third-party tool rather than an official game release. It is published on the Chrome Web Store, which performs automated scans, and the extension is widely used and maintained by the community. The project receives frequent updates driven by player feedback, so change cadence reflects community requests rather than an official publisher roadmap.

Why use the extension instead of external trackers or spreadsheets?

The extension places data directly on the game screen instead of requiring separate wiki pages or spreadsheet lookups, which reduces context switching during play. Community reports cite the tool as important for high-level play and efficient gold farming, indicating practical adoption among competitive players. The overlay approach gives immediate access to market trends and rankings without leaving the Hordes.io interface.

HCTG+ is a practical choice for committed desktop Hordes.io players

The extension suits players who accept third-party tooling and need in-game access to trading and progression information. The main trade-offs are its third-party status and desktop-only support, so users concerned about affiliation or mobile play should plan accordingly. Practical tip: enable the extension in a short test session to confirm overlays and notifications work with your existing browser setup before relying on it in competitive play.
