HardwareGrowler is an applet designed to inform you of hardware changes of all sorts as they happen.HardwareGrowler tells you if your laptop has been unplugged or if a piece of hardware, like a mouse, has been plugged in or not. It does this very reliably with most common ports, though with some, like Lightning, it struggles, and it has few ways to filter between devices and changes on any single port, instead providing one large list. Still, it works very well for smaller, peripheral-light devices.
