HalfMoon Adventure’s gameplay revolves around map creation and becoming a successful business owner. Players must start with their first store and traverse their first dungeon. In this game, a dungeon can only be successfully mapped once the player, themselves, runs through it personally, from its entrance up to the exit. Once you explore a dungeon and exit, it gives you another map you can sell to the market. 

Your mission is to be the best map store owner on the island and make your rival lose. The island is divided into nine areas. However, you can only visit the dungeons in the area around your store. To access other dungeons, you must first establish another store in that area. The thrill here is, that only one store is allowed per area, which means your competitor is also desperate to grow.  

Additionally, once you have collected enough profit, you can use it on upgrades and new stores. Improving your stores leads to a higher market share and builds the reputation of your business, attracting more buyers. This can make your market share grow higher, giving your rival no customers at all and becoming the best map seller. However, this adventure game doesn’t offer any storytelling elements.
