Hakurei Prosperity Story is an incremental game based on the Touhou Project. Players manage Hakurei Shrine, level up shrine facilities, collect Yin Yang balls, and develop the shrine. By upgrading shrine facilities, players can earn points from Yin Yang balls, with higher-level facilities yielding more points. The game features 6 types of Yin Yang balls, each with varying time intervals for collection based on color.

In addition to managing facilities, players can engage in the gacha system to obtain and level up characters. Characters influence the number and speed of Yin Yang balls spawned. By tapping characters on the screen, players earn points based on character level, increasing affection levels for potential double points.
