Hairy Words 1 is an iPhone application developed by Nessy Learning Limited. It is an educational program that focuses on teaching children aged 5-7 years old the first 100 high-frequency sight words and introduces them to tricky words. The program aims to help children learn these words, which make up half of all written materials, and which cannot be easily sounded out.

The program has lowercase keys, which help children to succeed. Once a child spells a word correctly, they earn three hairies, and when they have enough hairies, they can play the game. The yeti helper reinforces learning, and the game involves tapping a hairy to make it jump to the flag, bouncing on yeti bellies, and escaping from dangers. There are four mountains to climb and 12 levels of hairy fun.

Hairy Words 1 is strictly educational and has no in-app purchases. It is an excellent tool for teaching spelling and typing while keeping children engaged and entertained.
