GURU SD 5 TEMASEMESTE is an Android application developed by Herdi Sasmito, a primary school teacher in Surabaya. It is an electronic book reader that contains the handbook for fifth-grade teachers, which was created based on the Basic Competencies set by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The handbook has gone through a review, evaluation, and editing process, and has received feedback and suggestions for improvement from reviewers and editors under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The handbook consists of four themes for the second semester of fifth grade, which are: Theme 6 "Heat and Its Changes," Theme 7 "Events in Life," Theme 8 "Our Friendly Environment," and Theme 9 "Objects around Us." The application has a search technology and a history feature that saves the last accessed/read page. The application is offline and only needs to be installed once per semester.

This application is useful for students, teachers, and parents as a reliable learning companion in and outside of school (mobile learning).
