Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride is an adventure and hidden objects game, developed by Artifex Mundi; the creators of Enigmatis and the Queen's Quest series. The game takes place in a fantasy setting, within the fictional village of Ravenbrook, while its plot draws heavily from established fairy tales and legends.

Point-and-Click Controls

As with many other Artifex Mundi titles, the core gameplay is controlled in a classic point-and-click style, and focuses heavily on exploration, hidden object scenes, puzzles and mini-games. The plot features a number of twists and turns to keep players engaged, while Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride also features an excellent soundtrack and effective use of voice acting, helping to bring the game world to life.

Avoids Common Pitfalls

While there are some occasional, minor issues with animation, as well as a few scenes that have not been optimized for high-definition display, the graphics are generally impressive. Furthermore, the game avoids common pitfalls associated with the HOG genre, such as weak storylines and frustrating puzzles. Although the back-tracking towards the end of the game can be frustrating and some of the puzzles may be a little bit easy for experienced players, Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride has a lot of character and charm.
