Goodreads Review Shield for Authors is a Chrome add-on developed by kopptech. This free program is designed to protect the mental health of authors who use Goodreads. By enabling the add-on, authors can hide ratings and low reviews on the Goodreads platform, allowing them to focus on their work without being negatively impacted by negative feedback.

In the new Goodreads theme, the add-on automatically sorts reviews to 5 stars and displays the most recent ones. It hides star ratings, number ratings, ratings graphs, social ratings, and any reviews that are not set as 5 stars on book pages. It also hides the average number rating on the Author Dashboard.

In the old Goodreads theme, the add-on hides all ratings and reviews except for ones written by the author. It also hides sort controls to prevent authors from seeing the numbers of low star reviews.

Please note that the add-on does not hide currently reading and want to read numbers, ratings and reviews from mutual friends, and ratings information in the Book statistics section.
