In Golden Idol Investigations: The Age of Restraint, the world of Lemuria is full of technological creations, including high-tech robots and other complex creatures. However, most of these creations have become abnormal, leaving them dysfunctional and causing them to wreak havoc across the expanse. It is up to you to unravel this mystery and shed light on what happened on this planet. 

As the Sentinels keep a close eye on humanity, their true intentions remain a mystery. Forbidden artefacts need to be recovered, and those in charge must stay trustworthy to uphold the sacred law. Only by doing so can truth be distinguished from lies, and corruption exposed. In this delicate balance, justice relies on uncovering hidden agendas while maintaining order, ensuring that deception doesn’t go unchecked in a tightly controlled world. 

Here, there are four new scenarios to play through, each providing unique situations to solve with every click, slowly leading you to the truth as you uncover the complex schemes used through deductive reasoning and artefact analysis. However, the drawback of this game, aside from its brief playthrough, is that it introduces new characters that do not stick to the landing.

While the four new scenarios offer engaging challenges and deepen the story, some new characters feel underdeveloped. Despite this, fans of The Rise of the Golden Idol can appreciate the added depth and intrigue in this concise but compelling DLC experience.
