When you get the urge to travel, how do you decide where to go? Do you ask a friend? Do you decide based on the last book you read or film you saw? Now you have another way: ask Gogobot Travel Guide, a travel guide full of comments and knowledge from other users. So you know where to go, what to see, where to eat and what to do there. You can also add new content from your mobile device and rate places you've been.

Collective Intelligence

Gogobot Travel Guide is very similar to Foursquare, although in this case the app is more comprehensive: while the latter focuses on major cities and local day-to-day services, Gogobot is more focused on those hitting the road.

For starters, Gogobot helps you know where to go, since it recommends random places and helps you find a specific city or country about which you can get useful information such as important monuments, hotels, restaurants, things to do.

And once you've visited a place, Gogobot Travel Guide lets you check in as in Foursquare, rate places and even add your own comments to enrich Gogobot's database.

A live travel guide

The main advantage of Gogobot Travel Guide is that, unlike the traditional paper travel guide, it grows and improves every day with useful information from other globe-trotting users. This ensures you'll get the most current information possible.

In addition, the social features for commenting and rating places encourage feedback and make it more likely you'll consult this social travel guide.

The world at your fingertips

Gogobot stands out for its wide selection of images, which facilitate navigation and encourage users to take a look and maybe even plan a trip.

The map includes photographs of the location and gives you a clearer picture of where to go and what to visit first.

The modern version of a guide book

When the travel bug bites, don't forget your passport and credit card, and certainly don't forget to bring Gogobot Travel Guide. The information provided is comprehensive, and if something doesn't jibe with what you see on your trip, you can always add your own comments.
