An Open Source Continuous Delivery Server to Simplify Complex Worflows
GoCD is an open-source continual delivery server that models and visualises complicated workflows with tremendous ease. Thanks to its sequential and parallel execution, GoCD can seamlessly arrange dependencies for on-demand deployment and quick feedback. The server’s ability to collate content across two arbitrary builds renders it extremely invaluable when mending a broken pipeline. The tool helps visualise real-time end-to-end workflow. As a result, every amendment made could be tracked between commitment and deployment and also the other way around.
Pros
- Multiple configurability options available
- Any process can be modelled
Cons
- Server architecture isn’t configured for multiple-server scaling
- Configuration storage form (opaque XML) isn’t the most desirable
Also available in other platforms
