GeekVPN Secure is a free-to-try security and privacy app by developer Color Dye. It’s a VPN service that’s geared toward mobile devices, with a focus on simplicity and ease of use. Through it, users can enable safeguards to protect themselves against data threats online with just a few taps. There’s no additional setup required, and everything is done for them.

Clean and intuitive

In a word, GeekVPN Secure is a VPN app for everyone, with its simple design and easy one-tap operation. It will automatically select the best server based on your current location for optimal performance. You get the standard suite of privacy benefits, such as advanced encryption and being able to bypass georestrictions for certain sites and services online.

You can also manually set your preferred server by selecting it from the list of available options. The service also adheres to a strict no logs policy to give users more peace of mind when it comes to data handling. Having said all that, the actual experience leaves a lot to be desired. In particular, connection speed and stability are inconsistent.

An OK choice

Overall, if you’re new to VPNs and are looking to try one out, GeekVPN Secure is a decent choice you can consider. It’s easy to use, covers the basics well, and you can try it out for free. However, if you want more features or a stable experience, there are other solid options available from the likes of NordVPN or Surfshark.
