The Gear IconXPlugin is a free utility and tool application developed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. It is designed to work with the Gear IconXdevice and allows users to access device settings and status view. However, this application does not work alone and must be installed as a component of the Galaxy Wearable application for it to function properly.

To use all the features of the Gear IconXPlugin in Android 6.0 or later, users must allow permissions in Android Settings. Access to the phone is required for checking device version updates, access to Storage space for storing music in external storage to use the music transmission function, access to Schedule for checking schedule contents for using the voice notification function, access to Contact for checking contact information when receiving a call to use voice notification function and access to SMS for confirming SMS contents for voice notification. Optional permissions are not required for the app service.
