Developed by Netmarble, this adventure game carves the story of Westeros on players as they embark on a journey to forge your legacy, travelling from castle to castle to gain allies and enemies alike. 

In Game of Thrones: Kingsroad players assume the role of a customizable character, choosing from classes such as knight, sellsword, or assassin, each offering distinct playstyles. Throughout the journey, players encounter notable characters like Jon Snow and Ramsay Snow, enhancing the connection to the original series. 

A thrilling adventure for fans 

In Game of Thrones: Kingsroad the narrative begins with the player's character, a bastard of House Tyre, embarking on a mission to the Wall to investigate the disappearance of a family member. This quest unfolds against the backdrop of significant events from the series. This is where you forge your path and select from the multiple classes available, building your own name from the ground up. 

The game is combat-heavy with multiple move sets per class selected with a decent number of combos and skills to unlock a detailed level progression system, increasing character effectivity with every level. The game boasts impressive visuals, with detailed environments that capture the essence of iconic locations such as Winterfell, the Dreadfort, and Long Lake. However, some users reported performance issues. 

In addition, the user interface is on theme and is user-friendly. The controls are simple and straightforward, but the overall experience is mixed with some players asking for controller support due to unresponsive commands at times. Moreover, the game incorporates monetization elements common in mobile gaming. Features such as fast travel and cosmetic enhancements require in-game resources, which can potentially be acquired through microtransactions.

Nearing launch

The game has been in beta for some time now, but there is no shortage of updates to address bugs and introduce new content, features, and final tweaks as it draws closer to its official launch. One of the earlier updates addressed player feedback regarding the Founder's Pack, which now provides three Northern/Wandering Crow outfit boxes that can be applied to a different class.
