The British mathematician John Horton Conway created the cellular automaton known as The Game of Life in 1970. Being a zero-player game, it is determined by its initial state and doesn't need any additional input. The Game of Life can be played by setting up an initial configuration and then watching it develop.
By tapping the screen, you can add living cells to the board. Pause, play, and restart the game then arrange the cells on the board randomly. There are also adjustable settings that allow for the creation of different cellular automata.
