Developed by Le Phuong Tien, Fx Stencil is a free graphic and design app for creating stencil art from photos taken using your device’s gallery or from your camera. Though it provides plenty of pre-set colors of various themes, you can’t create custom colors.

Edit your stenciled photo

To use Fx Stencil, tap the plus icon and add a photo using “Take Photo” or “Choose from Gallery.”  Once your selected image has loaded, you can adjust the intensity of the stencil effects using the slider, choose a color, crop the picture, and many more.

In addition, you can place the original photo along with the stenciled one to serve as a before-and-after comparison. Photo sharing is supported in the app, too, so you can show off your favorite works to your friends with no added fuss.

Stencil art from your fingertips

With the Fx Stencil app by your side, you can create stencil-style art with just a few taps. The editing tools consist of just the barebones with the crop tool and pre-set color picker, to name a few. Unfortunately, custom color creation is not an included feature of the app.
