The Backrooms: Withering Reality is a free mod for Windows that immerses players in a haunting environment inspired by various sources. This full release features a richly detailed map filled with iconic yellow walls, improved poolrooms, and multiple liminal hotel areas, providing a sense of endless exploration. Players will encounter numerous jumpscares, enhancing the tension and atmosphere of the game. To fully experience the ambiance, music must be enabled, which adds a crucial layer to the gameplay.

The map includes diverse elements such as impact properties, scene chunks, and baked lighting, contributing to a more realistic experience. While the mod is primarily designed for Bonelab, it is untested on Quest, although it is expected to function adequately, barring any performance issues. Players are encouraged to share their experiences through video content, adding to the community aspect of this intriguing mod.
