Fruit Playground is a free sandbox game that has a dark sense of humor, despite its innocent-sounding title. The entire purpose of the game is to create characters who cannot fight back and then inflict violence on them using an arsenal of weapons.

The game uses the same mechanics as Melon Playground APK and Melon Playground Mods. If you have played those titles or their various imitators, then you will be right at home when you start up Fruit Playground, as the central idea is the same.

Create and control ragdoll characters

Fruit Playground (which, despite its title, features little in the way of fruit) is set in a sandbox playing field. Using a menu, you can drop orange humanoid figures into the scene and give basic commands: sit and walk. You can also hurl them up and watch their ragdoll movements, but the main appeal is in adding weapons.

Bladed weapons and firearms

The weapons come in two main categories. In the bladed weapon category, you'll find a knife, a spear, and an awl. The firearm category is broader, including a sniper rifle, a mortar launcher, a sniper scope, and more. When activated, the weapons will inflict various forms of damage on the characters.

Fresh additions in the 0.2.8 update

Longtime players of Fruit Playground have plenty to be excited about with the new 0.2.8 update. The highlight is the brand-new Logic System, which brings a range of mechanical items like the Note Block, One-Time Button, Logic Gate, Gyroscope, and more. These let you experiment and create more advanced mechanisms.

The update also brings new clothes, including Bomb Suit, Bomb Helmet, and Protection Boots. Other additions include a watertight box, Air Bomb, new fruit emotes, and rain as a weather type. There are also new mod editor templates, subtle cloth tearing effects, and bug fixes for smoother gameplay. This shows the developers’ strong commitment to improving the overall experience.

Different forms of violence to inflict

Different weapons will have different effects on characters. For example, the pistol will fire a bullet that'll make the character bleed but is not lethal in itself. The flamethrower, however, will burn your character down until only a charred skeleton is left. A few non-violent items, including a chair and brick wall, are also available.

Twisted humor

There are other games on the market using the same gameplay as Fruit Party, and some feature more weapons. The arsenal in this particular variation is rather slim. Beyond this, the title should appeal to players who enjoy dark humor.
