Friend Blocker for Instagram is a Chrome extension designed to help users maintain privacy on their public Instagram accounts. This tool is particularly useful for individuals who wish to keep their personal content hidden from their acquaintances while still sharing it publicly. By automating the blocking process, Friend Blocker saves users from the tedious task of manually blocking each follower one by one.

The extension works by capturing the followers and following lists of your personal Instagram account and allows you to switch to your public account where you can review and block users in bulk. Friend Blocker operates locally within your browser, ensuring that no data is sent to external servers, providing a level of privacy for its users. It includes features such as a review screen for user control, paced blocking to avoid rate limits, and the ability to save progress.
