Forgotten 23 is a sci-fi that places you aboard the ill-fated space station The Forgotte. Developed by KovalGames, you play as Max Novak, a stranded engineer who arrives to investigate a distress signal and discovers the station is in a decaying orbit, the crew missing, and a relentless 23-minute time loop resetting every attempt.

Forgotten 23 builds its tension through atmosphere and mystery rather than combat. There are environmental puzzles, terminals to hack, log entries to read, tools to craft, and systems to repair. The station shifts subtly between loops, introducing new anomalies and damaged subsystems, which keeps repetition from feeling stale and keeps the player’s progression meaningful. However, the adventure game is short. 

Visually, the game uses a top-down perspective with detailed station modules and atmospheric lighting that evokes both loneliness and creeping dread. Sound design plays a pivotal role and the AI’s voice carries much of the weight in conveying the station’s eerie emptiness. With each loop you retain knowledge, unravelling the mystery of the station’s secrets and trying to prevent the disaster.
