For Honor is a full version action game developed by Ubisoft Montreal for Play Station 4. It is set in a medieval fantasy world where three factions, the Iron Legion, the Chosen, and the Warborn, fight for supremacy. The game offers a unique mix of fighting and hack-and-slash elements with a heavy focus on multiplayer.

The game's plot revolves around the conflict between the three factions, each representing a specific medieval culture: knights, samurai, and Vikings. The player can choose from more than 12 different characters from each of the fractions, each with its unique moves, weapons, characteristics, abilities, and executions. The fighting system is based on the duel between players with a variety of moves such as attacks from different angles, blocks, dodges, stuns, counterattacks, unblockable attacks, and faints.

For Honor also has a character progression system that allows players to gain new perks, upgrade weapons, armor, and increase their rank, which affects the matchmaking process. The game features six multiplayer modes that differ primarily in the number of players involved in the conflict. These modes include team elimination, flag capture, and one-on-one battles.
