The game is called Fool, or Durak, and is one of the most popular card games in Russia and other post-Soviet states.

It is similar to the game of Scopa, and in fact, the name is often translated as scopa in other languages.

The game is played with two to five players. The objective is to get rid of all the cards when the deck is depleted. The game can be played with six players, but this gives the player who attacks first a considerable advantage, and a considerable disadvantage to the player who attacks last.
