Fokus is a free Chrome add-on developed by hakim.elhattab that allows users to highlight and emphasize text on web pages. With Fokus, users can select any text on a webpage, and the rest of the page will be covered with a semi-transparent black overlay, drawing attention to the selected text.

The plugin offers a few customization options that can be accessed from Chrome's extension listing page. Users can adjust the opacity of the overlay, specify a modifier key (shift/ctrl/alt/cmd) that needs to be held down to activate the overlay, and adjust the padding around the selected text.
