Friday Night Funkin' Soft Mod is a game utility developed by GameBanana. As the name suggests, this application is a mod for Friday Night Funkin'. It is free to download and play and brings a new spin to the already popular music rhythm game.

Unlike other FNF mods, the Soft Mod extends the original title's content by adding a completely original story. It also brings in two new protagonists, Soft BF and his lover Soft Pico. All the characters and backgrounds are also reimagined and redone. However, while there are 16 songs in total, some of them are uninteresting. 

Story-driven FNF mod

Friday Night Funkin' is perhaps one of the games with the most number of mods. To date, various developers have created their own spin on the original title extending its content to the delight of the fans. However, most of them use the same formula of bringing new characters and new songs for Boyfriend to take on. Although modern FNF mods sometimes add some cut scenes and dialogues.

Friday Night Funkin' Soft Mod is a new mod that takes the basic reskin to a new height. As mentioned, it focuses more on storytelling and brings in an original plot.  It also stars a new pair of protagonists, the budding painter named Soft BF and his lover Soft Pico. There are six chapters to the game, which follows BF as he attempts to achieve his dream.

All the characters and background are reimagined in this mod, making the whole game look innocent. It also features expressive dialogue portraits, which will push the story along. Like other FNF mods, there are also new songs. In fact, there are 16 in total—12 playable songs and four menu songs. However, most of these tracks are uninteresting. Additionally, each track lacks the increased difficulty that other mods offer. 

A different kind of Funkin'

All things considered, Friday Night Funkin' Soft Mod is an FNF mod unlike any other. It does not stay within canon by any means, bringing in a completely reimagined world. It also has an original story and different protagonists. Don't worry, though. The mechanics are still the same, so it is still easily playable. However, with the entire new look, the experience is going to be different.
