Flora Incognita is an Android app developed by Technische Universität Ilmenau and Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry Jena, which enables users to identify wild plants by taking pictures. With exact algorithms based on artificial intelligence, it identifies wild plants even when they are not yet in bloom with an accuracy of over 90%. You can learn more about plant species with the help of extensive plant profiles and collect your findings in your observation list. The app is part of a scientific research project to improve nature conservation. The collected observations are used to answer scientific research questions that deal with the spread of invasive species or the effects of climate change on biotopes.
