The app is designed for use on a smartphone device and features expanded transit fare options such as daily and monthly passes. Instead of buying passes in advance, you earn them as you go, ensuring that you never pay more than a day pass in a day or a month pass in a calendar month.

The app provides easy account access and pass purchasing options online, via mobile, and in-store. Additionally, registered cards are protected from balance loss and the app features an auto-reload function, ensuring that you are never without fare. Flamingo Fares is currently available in Hernando (TheBus), Hillsborough (HART), Pasco (PCPT), and Pinellas (PSTA/Jolley Trolley) counties.
